ColorsBlack

KIRU is a console with a distinctive, ascetic character. Its defining feature is a soft gradient gently revealing the wood grain beneath the surface — a carefully applied color treatment that makes each piece truly one of a kind.

This subtle transition becomes a visual accent and an atmospheric experience that harmonizes beautifully with interior spaces. Compositionally, it responds to a desire for layering tones, textures, and color shifts. The technique evokes the Baltic landscape — the fading, washing out, and drying effects of wind and salt.

With this approach, the boundary between functional furniture and applied art begins to dissolve — just like the oak’s grain on KIRU’s surface.

A discreet drawer hides what needs to be tucked away, while the top acts as a pedestal for the objects we wish to showcase. All it takes is a bit of imagination.
